For this add-on to work, your VoIP company needs to provide you with a software phone, i.e. a Windows application with a dialer pad. If you can't dial out using a softphone, this add-on won't work for you.
It is impossible to list all the possible software phones on the market and how they should be configured. Usually the answer can be found in their user guide. If you can't find anything and the dialer is not listed below, simply test the different options: check Sip and try to make a phone call. If it doesn't work, try Tel, CallTo, etc. until you find one that works for your dialer.
Here are a few examples. If you happen to use the Universal Dialer Plugin with other dialers, let us know how you configured it and we'll publish it here.
EVS7
The Clipboard option should work. Make sure you select, in the EVS7 dialer, the option to monitor the clipboard.
X-Lite
The Tel option should work.
Bria
The Sip option should work.
If not, here is how to configure it:
magicJack
The CallTo or Sip options should work. If not, in the same screens as shown above, enter the location of the program in Program path and /callto [#] in Arguments.
Ring Central
The CallTo option should work.
Nextiva
The Tel option should work.
