Favorites for ACT!
Ever wished you could quickly go to a specific record or retrieve a previously saved lookup? It is now possible with Favorites for ACT!.
This tool will rapidly become your best friend... It allows you to store individual records or lookups of records whether contact, company, group or opportunity records or lookups.
Quickly access the records you always work with from any screen
Let's say you're on a contact and click the Add Contact to Favorites menu item: the Contact is now stored in your favorites. You can now go back to this contact wherever you are in ACT! (the Contact Favorites menu is available from any ACT! screen) by just clicking its name in the list of favorites.
If you're in a contact screen and you click a contact favorite, if the contact is in the current lookup of contacts, it will go to the contact without resetting the lookup. If the contact is not in the current lookup, it will create a lookup of the record (NOTE: you can set the program to prompt you to confirm you want to leave the current lookup).
Store Dynamic or Static Lookups
The same applies to lookups. If you create a lookup, either by manually selecting records or using the Lookup menu, you can easily save it.
If it is a lookup created using criterias (through the Lookup menu for instance), you are given the option to save the static lookup (ie. the records which are currently in the lookup) or the dynamic lookup (ie. the criterias which means that later the lookup could include more or less records depending on changes made to your database) or even the records you have currently selected (highlighted) in the list view. The sort order is also saved.
When you save a static lookup, you can automatically stamp it, ie. the name you give to the Favorites is appended with a time stamp, so that you know at what exact date and time the lookup was saved.
