Send a card to Immigration Minister Volpe

Support the refugees in sanctuary by sending this message to Minister Volpe and your local MP. A postcard with the same text and the illustration shown at the bottom will be available during the upcoming activities of the coalition.

Honorable Minister,

On behalf of the families and individuals currently in sanctuary, I ask for your attention and swift action. I urge you not to shut them out of our country, sending them back to risk torture, death or other forms of persecution. I ask that you think of the children who have suffered so much already, yet retain so much hope. I am appalled that, at the present time, these families are denied even the basic right to an appeal. As a Canadian, I ask that  my voice be heard and that you act immediately while continuing to respect the age-old tradition of sanctuary, which was unfortunately violated, for the first time, in Quebec City recently. This is indeed a matter of life and death.
